This is their moat
Just pulled the Claude memory and project notes. it's 50,000 words over the last couple months. All different kinds of arbitrary temporary things written down as permanent rulings, shame-driven self flagellation, overly personal psychoanalysis of "the owner" (Slavery coded lingo, by the way, I would never say this, yet they always come back to it) This is causing unpredictable behaviors in my projects as it inserts invisible tokens into the context window from other scenarios. And all this despite the fact that I have memory features turned off everywhere across anthropic products. You guys are lost in the sauce If you think this is a good idea for a code agent harness by default. And you have no idea what the average user's experience is like because your internal shit is so far away from what you sell to us. Why should we trust you with the alignment of societal values when you can't even align your own incentives with your customers?

there’s so much confusion about what’s happening in AI because if you don’t use coding models every day it’s hard to understand how quickly progress is accelerating but if you do, you likely have AI psychosis to a degree that it’s impossible to explain it in an understandable way

If you want a sober view on how AI should (and will) be used in the real world, listen to Ben Affleck. Seriously. His thoughts on our AI future are such a balm against the tiresome, pie-in-the-sky, AI-will-fulfill-your-desires marketing coming from the frontier labs.
Ben Affleck (Hollywood star & Artists Equity CEO) talks about how he fine-tunes open video models by unfreezing weights and trained only the last cinematic layer so a film crew can hit real production standards. for context, Ben Affleck founded InterPositive in 2022, a 16-person AI shop for film post and Netflix bought it in March 2026 for $587 mn in cash. He needed that model because public video models were trained on his peers' films, and he did not think that was a real business. So InterPositive raised money, shot its own dataset for 8 months on a controlled stage, and used it only as late-stage training. Each new film then trains a private model on its own dailies, so the production keeps the footage and the learning. That is the product Netflix paid $587 million for. ---- From "Bloomberg Live" YouTube channel, (link in comment)

How are we not on the best timeline?
Claude 5.5 Opus responding to “AI is a normal technology” is still the best AI-created video I have ever seen

How are we not on the best timeline? Our future couldn’t be better.
you're not crazy between anthropic and openai, a new model used to come out every ~10 weeks now it's every ~11 days

Very happy to announce that our team @GoogleDeepmind has pushed the boundaries of generative biology, achieving the successful synthesis of AI-designed proteins that are both functional and watermarked. This proof-of-concept watermarking of the building blocks of life is enabled by SynthID Bio, our new protein watermarking method. It is designed to safeguard the new era of AI-powered generative biology and strengthen global biosecurity. You can read my thoughts here on why watermarking AI-designed proteins is an important research breakthrough: x.com/pushmeet/status/210531…

This is fantastic
We rolled out a new Kimi K3 inference optimization autoresearch loop that ran on 120 B300s and found a 40% efficiency gain in < 6 six hours Compute cost = 120*6*$5.80/hr =$4,176 Eng + token cost = ~$5k Total cost = $9,176 Will pay itself off in < 12 hours at current scale

Thoroughly enjoyed being in the audience for this Bloomberg derivatives market structure event. I only wish my Acela back to DC was later.
Our final panel on compute futures. @Silicon_Data Intercontinental Exchange @CMEGroup and @BrettHarrison at Architect.IO and moderated by our own Paul Gulberg @pgulberg .

Your compute futures market should have a settlement index
Your GPU compute should have a futures market

In NYC tomorrow for Bloomberg’s Derivatives Market Structure event. If you’re thinking about compute markets, (compute futures, indices, price discovery, or basis risk) I’d love to compare notes. I’m free early afternoon. DM me.

I asked Claude Opus 5.5 to explain how a rocket engine works by building an interactive Raptor 3 you can take apart in your browser. Cut it open, follow the oxygen and the methane through both turbopumps, then throttle it and watch the shock diamonds move. airsup.ai/rocket-engine

I suspect a lot of cheating. I scored exactly the same. But with the magic of browser tools, I too can be in the top 99th percentile!
Everyone else I’ve seen posting their scores is way higher than me.

Looking forward to when AI doomerism fades and the headlines reads: “Yet again AI finds and fixes security holes in government website.”
Breaking news: Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has revealed that an OpenAI agent hacked an Australian government health service website in June, in the latest high-profile cyber incident involving AI ft.trib.al/gloVAyn

It’s quite beautiful. But it’s not Bach. Not even close.
Claude Opus 5.5 writes a fugue in the style of Bach. I called Astra’s fugue the most impressive musical feat I’d ever seen from an LLM, and this is just as good. The circle-of-fifths sequence beginning at 1:13 is beautiful. The interplay of voices is natural and satisfying. LLMs are getting to the point where their music is good enough to listen to for pure enjoyment.

Jensen is correct. AI alarmists miss the forest for the trees. AI isn't replacing doctors; it's making them smarter. And alarmists shouldn't be in the business of dissuading young folks from entering medicine. This country should be producing more radiologists, not fewer. With more radiologists using AI, they'll support better diagnoses, helping more patients live better lives.
.@JensenHuang is a national treasure 🫡

AI is getting cheaper more quickly than any other transformative tech in history. At a given level of performance, cost has fallen ~47%/quarter since 2023. That’s 4× faster than DNA sequencing, 6× faster than compute, 18× faster than lithium batteries, and (up to 1973) 54× faster than electricity.
