I had been a Vim user for a *very* long time. I'm about 2 months into a switch to Neovim and it's a world of difference on so many levels. Particularly, I just started writing my first plugin. It's such a great experience using Lua. I never had an interest in Vimscript

I'm super excited to share what I've been working on lately in my spare time. OpenTelemetry is awesome, but in isolation it doesn't make sense. You need an application generating telemetry, and observability tooling backends to analyze it. OTel is a glorified ETL pipeline

This also includes a traffic generator, because an idle application doesn't generate telemetry. And because if all traces are <5ms, that's boring, so I included a quality-of-service interrupter. Now you can see sad traces too

I just learned something in Vim that I didn't realize I've needed for decades... Searching between two marks (instead of the whole buffer). `/\%>'amy-search-string\%<'b` where "a" is the start mark and "b" is the end mark. So powerful!
