Day 2 of working with this wonderful portfolio of schools and preschools in South Australia.
We are delving deeper into the high challenge, high support cultures Ferocious Warmth leaders build with their teams.
Self awareness as always continues, as well as looking at learning cultures that allow for robust discussion, exploration and collective momentum. We’re also exploring how as a portfolio of sites they turn up for each other to stretch and support.
We know that strong leadership is the cornerstone of thriving schools, and developing the leadership capacity of our female educators is more important than ever.
November 13th, for women in education designed to energise, challenge and inspire.
Our previous workshops have been oversubscribed and the feedback showed how impactful spending a day like this can be.
For more details or to register for the event, click the link below and please share with your team and network of female education leaders.

Today is World Heart Day! Have you had your heart checked lately?
It’s also the third anniversary of my heart getting an upgrade in my left descending artery -
At the hot water tap, in the secret WhatsApp group. Assumptions run rampant and the heels get dug in, without a curious conversation in sight. Intriguing in itself, I find that people who are able to explore difference with curiosity are intrigued by difference, not frightened
The ability to step into possibility rather than judgement when opinions, experience or motivations are different to our own. The willingness to see the world through another's lens and understand perspective
But to explore further in these conversations, there is an strong desire to understand each other and the possibility of finding better ways forward. If that culture is not in place, the difference goes underground. And festers, gets talked about out in the car park
whilst also being able to share our own perspective in a way that builds trust and partnership. I see this in Ferocious Warmth leaders and the professional cultures they foster. There is a culture of curiosity, seeking to unpack where difference lies, not to squash it
In a world where either/or seems to be the predominate position, I've been exploring with people the critical skill of holding difference and how we show up when faced with it.
Yesterday and today I'm working in a small country town in South Australia. Part of the job I love the most is working with people in diverse settings and getting to experience different parts of the world. Here, the swallows are flying around, crabs scurry in the mangroves
The Buzz. Love my work, love the people who carry our education system through thick and thin. Oh! and the pelicans! Hoping to see some dolphins tonight. Fingers crossed for me!
