My little one didn’t get recognized today. She usually hides behind goggles in the OR, so when she showed up all dressed up, nobody knew who she was Nine hundred hours in that surgery room. You don’t make money every month. Especially early on it’s money management more than trading. Lost in corn last month and this month. July I was long Dec calls, short puts, pressed hard, took it through 500. New box 500-550. Couldn’t clear 550 with the big open interest, covered the short puts and got out of the Decs thinking harvest pressure. Still wanted to be long so bought March calls and sold higher strikes. Went on a trip. Two reports later corn was down 90¢ from the highs. Pure money management. Gave back more than my first house bit that was 30 years ago 😜Wife sees the books, gives the usual eye roll. Had a big year so I’m fine making a little. You can be bull or bear — it’s how you manage it. Selling small puts now. 430-550 still feels like the range. Farmers dealing with high gas and oil are going to struggle. World production sits on that oil chart. Took the higher calls off, just selling a little end of harvest. Need a better setup to get long. Toe in the water on the 90¢ break. Don’t care if I’m right or wrong. Just need to still be here tomorrow and add something to the mt bottom line after all the family spending.. positive attitude… can’t look in rear view mirror

Speculators want violent swings, not a quiet market. 6. Big traders want chaos and someone else to be wrong. 7. Crushers and ethanol want cheap inputs so their margins get fat. 8. Farmers hope the neighbor fails while their fields look perfect. 9. Nobody wants stable prices. 10. Everyone wants the other side to panic and puke. 11. Government is never good Unless the help me

Then two reports (Sept 30 stocks + Oct 9 WASDE) punched it ~60–80¢ lower in fast report minutes—classic coin-flip risk. Funds were long; the unwind was violent. Back near the mid-460s probing 450.
