One of the strangest things about professional trading: Research can be work.
Backtesting can be work.
Waiting can be work.
Doing nothing can be work. The easiest activity is actually placing a trade. That’s what messes up so many new traders.

Steve Kerr says Roger Federer taught his Warriors team the secret to sustained success wasn’t outworking everyone, it was building a life around your craft you never want to escape from “I’ll tell you a great story about Roger Federer. We were playing in China with the Warriors in 2017. Roger was in Shanghai for the Masters tournament, so we invited him to come speak to the team.” “Draymond Green asked him, ‘How do you sustain success? How have you managed to win majors 20 years after you first won one?’ Everyone was expecting him to say, ‘I work harder than everybody,’ the will, all the clichés.” “Roger Federer says, ‘I get up every morning and I make breakfast for my kids. Then I take them to school and drop them off. Then I go practice tennis for about two hours, and I’ve figured out a really good routine where I don’t destroy my body, but I can get all the work in I need.” “‘Then I go have lunch with my wife. In the evening, we cook dinner together. The kids are all home from school. We ask them about school. There’s so much joy in the house. We put them to bed, and then I put my head on the pillow and go, “Man, that was just a great day.” And I’ve been doing that for 20 years.’” “And it was like, yes. That’s it. That’s the formula. That’s what leads to sustained success. He loves tennis. He loves his family. He loves life. It’s not outworking everybody and banging your head against the wall, ‘I’m going to be better than everybody.’ It’s allowing your natural talent to shine through with a work ethic, with a great family life, with perspective, with peace, with mindfulness.” “It’s perspective. It’s joy. It’s passion. It’s mindfulness. It’s an awareness that we are truly lucky. To get the most out of ourselves, it’s our daily rituals and experiences and love and joy.”

1 setup. 1 setup. 1 setup. Over and over again. After 30-60 days everything will become 100x easy. Become the best in the world trading 1 setup. 1 setup is enough to kill in the trading arena.

Life advice nobody told you: Learn to tolerate boredom. Success isn't flashy. It's built through long periods of extremely disciplined, boring routines. If you need constant novelty, you won't make it very far. To shine in the light, you have to embrace boring work in the dark.

Every consistent trader you respect is simply a trader who didn’t quit. They had the same rough start, the same mistakes, the same doubt. The only difference is they stayed long enough to turn chaos into a process. The first couple years aren’t really about “making money.” They’re about building the discipline, mindset, and systems that keep you alive long enough to get good. If you can make it through years 1 and 2, you give yourself a real shot to thrive in years 3 and 4. Most people go through the same phases.. You start with that early euphoria. A few wins and you think you cracked the code. Then the market humbles you. Losses stack, confidence dips, and if you don’t have structure, you start reaching. New indicators, new strategies, chasing every move, trading without a real plan. Then comes the moment that decides everything.. commit or quit. This is where you get real about why you’re doing this. Freedom. Taking care of your family. Proving to yourself you can actually master a hard skill. Whatever your reason is.. that “why” becomes the fuel that keeps you showing up on the days the results don’t. The shift from struggle to consistency is simple, but not easy. It’s repetition with intention. - Journal your trades so the data can tell you the truth - Define your edge and stop freelancing - Take fewer trades, take better trades, and grade your setups (Quality over quantity) - Protect physical/mental capital like it’s the job, because it is. - Refine the process until execution becomes automatic. Do that long enough and trading stops feeling random. It becomes repeatable. And when the process is define.. the profits WILL follow. And you don’t have to do it alone. Watching experienced traders navigate real-time price, getting live context, reviewing trades, and being in a community that holds you to a standard can cut years off the learning curve. That’s the game. Build something that lasts. Stay in the fight long enough to become the person who makes it. @spacemnke @mataetrades @TWI_futures @TradewithTC @iV_trader @tradersarangc @PandaOptions

Scalping is a losing strategy. By definition it's impossible to get rich with this strategy. Your trading for pennies on the dollar in profit. Multi day to multi week swings are the most profitable types of trades. Be careful of getting into this style of trading. It's an unsustainable way to trade especially with a small account.

Trading is the best career in the world. I don't care what anyone says. You choose your schedule. No boss, no coworkers. You can work from anywhere in the world. The more disciplined and patient you are, the more you get paid. There's no cap to how much money you can make. Once you master yourself, that's when you can become consistently profitable. There are no shortcuts.

FOMO is the #1 cause of losses and as we saw this week, its an illusion. For day traders, *there is no shortage of moves*. 90% of days aren't open-to-close trend days. "Miss" a move? Just wait. Another will come in 1-2 hrs. You can be patient & trade only A+ setups, on your terms

Many traders struggle to profit because they are generalists. Having an edge means being a hyper-specialist. A small niche (For me, 3 setups in ES) that you know better than 99% of people, have drilled 1000x & can wait all day for. You wont beat the algos as a jack of all trades

I diversify my net worth to protect myself when there’s turbulence in different markets and asset classes. Read this if you want to have sustainable long term wealth one day. How I diversify my Net Worth ✅ 1. 25% Stocks/Bonds - This is my forte’ and this is how I created wealth in my life. Stocks have the advantage of liquidity. If you want to sell, you can have the cash in your account the same day. The stock market is a forward looking indicator and gives you the pulse of the economy. Bonds are a good asset class AFTER you become rich. It’s more of a safer passive income. 2. 20% Bitcoin - I’m a big proponent of bitcoin over the past 4 years. Bitcoin has a big advantage in liquidity and accessibility. With banks, You can only move money during certain hours and days of the week. This can cause inconvenience and security issues especially in times of government instability and debasing of the currency within a country. I believe everyone should have a bitcoin position especially as the US dollar continues to feel the effects of inflation. 3. 20% Cash - Cash is king. When stocks / real estate/ crypto is in a bear market. Cash is necessary to create wealth. Simple. 4.20% Real estate- I’m not a huge real estate guy but I do believe in owning hard assets that can create passive income. I own some properties in multiple states residential and commercial. I look at real estate as a safety net in case your primary source of income fails one day. 4. 10% Collectibles - Watches, collectible cars, rare coins, Anything that is looked at as a store of value that you enjoy is something everyone should own. Life is short and if you can own something you like while holding value, Its a win win situation. 5. 5% Gold-Hedge against inflation. Very simple here. Gold has moved from 1500 to 2700 in the past few years. I believe Gold can move up to 4000 in the future. The only downside of Gold is that it’s hard to move the actual hard asset especially if you own a large position. But, gold has stood the test of time and should continue this in the future. This is how I diversify my net worth and I’ve done this since I’ve started making real money. This isn’t financial advice but just a small glance into how I manage my money and How I operate. I hope you found it helpful.

One thing I've learned is trading - in order to work - should be boring. My trades are planned the night before. 90% of the day is then waiting for the same 1 or 2 setups - done for the 1000th time - managed exactly the same every time. "Exciting" trading is usually just gambling

A game changer for me was learning there's no rush to trade, and FOMO (the #1 driver of losses) is an illusion. There's 0 shortage of moves for day traders; there are many quality moves daily. If you "miss" one, another will come in 1 or 2hrs. Be patient, plan & pick your spots
