As Alan mentioned this morning, tZERO welcomes and supports the SEC’s innovation exemption enabling tokenized securities to trade on permissioned AMM venues (TSVs). This is a real step forward in the evolution of financial markets toward blockchain based rails.
We’ve been here from the start. tZERO is one of the earliest market participants to actually facilitate trading of tokenized securities on a regulated ATS. That’s given us real, hard-won experience building trading tech that’s interoperable with permissionless infrastructure while layering permissioned, rules-based compliance on top of it. Our patented technology also covers enforcing compliance rules directly in decentralized, disintermediated environments, exactly the kind of architecture this exemption calls for.
We’re looking at how we connect to these venues, potentially become one ourselves, and, importantly, provide institutional regulated custody and responsible onchain wallet solutions for participants trading on them.
We’ll be filing comments with the Commission and continuing to do what we’ve always done: lead the conversation on how tokenized securities markets should actually work.
