Super excited, as this will be my starting point for local AI that I can ping anytime, from anywhere 🤖 I've been pretty happy with @bot and how it got me hooked on using @cursor_ai cloud agents for building, so that's where I'm coming from on personal computer-use agents

The idea has always been simple: your photos, files, documents, etc should all live with you. Not on "somebody else's computer." Even more so now with local LLMs and AI agents. For a long time that was only possible if you were technical, or if you were happy dealing with crappy UX. Today it isn't. Proud of this team beyond what I can fit in a tweet.

I remember when these guys first started and teased their first device. Years later, with multiple updates and a new device. Have been bullish for a long time and this only solidifies that. This is so clean. I already run a Proxmox cluster at home but umbrelOS 2.0 will certainly serve as the curated, stripped down corner I set up for my wife (and likely the rest of my family) to use. Such a gorgeous, thoughtfully designed interface.
