I'm satisfied with S3 prioritising Lestat's trauma. What I won't tolerate is someone calling Nickistat intimacy Lestat's "coping mechanism via sex". He's genuinely smiling in those scenes, he's truly happy with Nicki. Their scenes together are brief but intense and unforgetable

i think gabriella has made it very clear (by virtue of raping her son) that she is, in fact, not lestat's mother because she does not want to be lestat's mother and will do everything in her power to not be seen as lestat's mother
they took a character that uses vampirism to raise above the constraints of womanhood and gender and turned her into "the Mother" and yet we are the crazy ones when we say tvl was a lestat dick riding fest trying to absolve him of everything wrong he has ever done

The show's take on Gabi is femenist bc it made her as evil as an evil mother can be without denying her complexity. But there are types of evil that are hard to digest. A mother who rapes her child makes us question our capacity for empathy and that's why the show is so brave
