These were not ancient Saudi lands. After the 1934 war, the Treaty of Taif gave Ibn Saud the highlands and the Red Sea coast Yemen claimed as its own. Temporary sovereignty. Renewed when Sana’a was weak. Confirmed in 2000 under pressure.
Yemen never forgot. Asir, Jazan and Najran should go back to Yemen.
