Walking 21 Miles Today With @rizautile On Capitola Wharf | Announcing Next Week's 26.2 Marathon Walk 20 miles down, 1 to go today. We’ve been out on the Capitola Wharf since 4:30 AM putting in 21 miles. Next Thursday, September 24th, Riza and I are walking a full 26.2-mile marathon back and forth on these boards from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (81 times up and back). Taking on hard physical challenges together as a couple has been life-giving. Stepping into the adventure builds resilience and enhances your purpose. You don’t have to walk a marathon on a wharf. Sunday @rizautile and our the sons walked 10.5 miles with me on the sand from Aptos to Watsonville. Last year I ate nothing for 40 days. Water only. Zero calories. This year I decided to do a 40 Day Feast of exercise. Every day I add half a mile. Every day I add three pull-ups or push-ups. Biceps gave out on day 21, so I started alternating push and pull. So far after 24 days: 143.8 miles · 699 pull-ups · 201 push-ups 16 days left: 266.2 miles · 792 pull-ups · 768 push-up Day 40 — September 11th — I plan to walk 26.2 miles. A full marathon.

Last year, I completed a 40-day water-only fast (shared all about it March/April 2025 if interested). This year, I’m 21 days into a “40-Day Feast of Health”. Been adding half a mile and three pull-ups every day. I’m so thankful to have @rizautile walk with me each morning! Yesterday was the halfway point (day 20). So far, I have completed 105 miles walked and 630 pull-ups. I have 20 days left. Today will be 10.5 miles and 63 pull-ups. Total at the end of 40 days will be a total of 410 miles and 2,460 pull-ups.

Santa Cruz Harbor to Capitola Village 10-Minute OneWheel Sunset Ride DESCRIPTION: Ten minutes floating along one of my favorite stretches of the Pacific Ocean on the Central California coast. Last night, I took my OneWheel from the Santa Cruz Harbor toward home in Capitola Village and captured the entire ~35-minute ride. I compressed the trip into ten minutes so you can experience the flow state along Monterey Bay. We start beside the water at Santa Cruz Harbor and Walton Lighthouse, then move east past the harbor bridge construction, Twin Lakes, Sunny Cove, and the historic KSCO building at Corcoran Lagoon. From there, the ride follows East Cliff Drive through the surf culture of Pleasure Point, The Hook, Rockview, Opal Cliffs, and Privates Beach. The landscape opens up as we reach Capitola—gliding past Soquel Creek, the historic Capitola Wharf, and the colorful 1920s Venetian Beach Resort as the last light disappears. Santa Cruz Harbor → Capitola Village. ~35 minutes compressed into 10. Floating home along the Pacific Coast on my electric dragon. 8 miles on the feet this morning! Walked along the old train rails here in Capitola with my husband @IanUtile , and couldn't stop thinking about how much these physical tracks mirror what we’re building in Web3 and AI. Old infrastructure paved the way for industrial connection, now, decentralized networks and AI are laying down the new tracks for our digital future. Every step feels like bridging the physical past with tomorrow’s tech.
