Alongside elected officials, we heard from witnesses—including legal advocates, faith leaders, and former law enforcement—about how ICE's presence has already hurt families, workers, and public safety in San Antonio. A new detention center would only deepen that harm and be a blow to the local economy. Thank you to everyone who is using their voice to stand up against ICE in our community and across the country.

While you pay more for gas, Trump is making millions buying and selling oil and gas stocks. I’m ready to ban Trump and all members of Congress from trading all stocks TODAY. Sadly, Republicans aren’t.

NEW: I showed up unannounced at the immigration detention facility at SFO yesterday. I was concerned by reports of green card holders being detained for days, including a 67-year-old diabetic held for eight days without adequate medical care. When the Trump Administration uses our tax dollars to lock people up, we deserve to know what’s happening inside. I will always demand answers to ensure that people being held in detention are treated with dignity and provided access to basic needs and their lawyers.

Go after them Senator Padilla. That 67 year old diabetic is someone’s father, brother, uncle and friend.

Gas prices are up. Families are choosing between paying the electricity bill and buying food. Trump promised lower costs on day one. Two years later, we’re still waiting. If Trump thinks this is “the best economy,” he should see a doctor.
