Zapper was one of the first products I used when I was new to DeFi when it started with zaps. Good old days 🫡

Congrats to @mattkrisiloff, @seres_bianka and the whole @Conception team 👏👏 This is a great milestone towards human IVG -- which enables people to create eggs from their own blood or skin cells. It opens up a future possibility of a new world that: 1. eliminates the most taxing part of IVF, which involves weeks of intense hormone injections and surgical egg retrieval 3. enables cancer survivors who have lost their fertility (due to chemotherapy) to be able to have biologically related kids, and 3. enables women to have kids (potentially) at any age, bypassing the natural depletion of eggs!
I’m so excited to share this update on @Conception – We’ve generated the first early human eggs derived from stem cells. This is a big deal -- the potential to redefine fertility is real.

Yeah, I don’t think there’s any easy way to do it unless the wallets themselves share the stats 🤔

I feel like it’s still a single account (if you are measuring based on wallet address). But you can measure another metric based on unique delegations (also it would be interesting to see how many wallets have made more than a single delegation). That being up another question, is there any way at all to track delegations made across different wallets (if the delegations haven’t been signed but have not been used to execute anything on chain)?

I guess one difference is that the cake maker was being sold to customers (housewives) who previously did the whole thing themselves (hence the guilt). But the AI IDEs are also targeting a whole new market of customers who have never built apps the old way (without AI assistance), so I don’t think that userbase will experience much or any guilt at all. IMO, the guilt might become a problem that people should try to grow out of. Also, there’s a lot more to building a successful app, so I don’t think using AI tools completely takes away the joy of the process. For me it actually reduces the friction of trying out ideas that I think won’t work but I would try them now anyways because Devin/Cursor codes the whole thing for me ;)

There was a time (a few decades ago) when IVF was considered taboo and now ~2% of US born babies are born using IVF. With the right regulations and financial support ecosystem, it makes a lot of sense to help avoid diseases before birth that your child would suffer from their entire lives. It's just a matter of time when we'll feel why we didn't have this sooner!
When I was in elementary school, my mom started going blind. Retinitis pigmentosa. No family history. No treatments. No cure. I got lucky. She didn’t. It led me to build @OrchidInc so my baby —and everyone else's—gets to win the genetic lottery—avoid blindness— and hundreds of severe genetic diseases. Today, the New York Times covered the tech we’ve spent years building: Whole genome embryo screening for *hundreds* of diseases. Not in theory. Not in mice. In humans. In IVF centers. Right now.

Indeed. Rewards are not inherently bad, but given rewards have been a bit normalized in crypto, builders also sometimes give into the temptation of getting (non-sustainable) attention on their half-baked product in exchange of rewards. I'm pretty sure this will change once apps use crypto as an enabling technology rather than using it as a gimmick. Then you are not just catering to crypto users but the whole world in general.

it's not just about users migrating but the dapps (that the users use) need to support such (smart) accounts as well. IMO, that's a bigger friction point.
