Notice how those who are telling you that burning a bystander’s face constitutes protesting against insufficient funding for schools are also repeatedly scaremongering about the rise of the ‘far right’ in Europe.

Anyone who has driven into Brampton can see how our immigration system has been abused, but also our social benefits are being robbed. Scores of older Indian men sitting in parks, wearing garb from their homeland, not working or contributing. Many young foreign men, hanging around malls, parking lots. Some with gig jobs. Somali, Nigerian, Pakistani. Why are they here? Who brought them in? How many are on social assistance? Indo gangs members driving thru the suburbs with MR16 decals on their cars, flashing handguns at traffic stops. I’ve watched this part of the GTA collapse in standards. We are living in a corrupt govt led, Ponzi scheme.

Today, Pioneer Labs is announcing our first step towards terraforming Mars. 🚀🌼 With equipment that fits in just a single rocket launch, we can convert Martian dirt, water, and air into enough building materials to construct a small city on Mars. To do it, we made the first microbe for Mars. We found the best microbe on Earth and used evolution to teach it how to source all of its nutrients directly from Martian materials. The first astronauts will be greeted with safe shelter already filled with water, oxygen, and rocket fuel for the return journey. This is the first step toward using biology to make Mars a friendly place for life. It lets us live off the land and helps us build the next great frontier. It's the first of five organisms we need to green Mars ⬇️

Went to an amazing Sukkot dinner tonight in Picton - along with many Sons of Jacob congregants. A team of OPP officers were there, too, and we gave them a standing ovation - and learned the Go Fund Me for Const. Smith is now close to $1 million! Incredible night. Here's me, Harvey and David at SOJ for an event last year.

I’ve got an even better question. Who posted their bail?
Unless the facts have been wildly misreported, how on earth do five men found with EXPLOSIVES in their vans next to a strategically critical US base get released on bail within 48 hours?

Starbucks is closing roughly 250 underperforming cafes across North America and scaling back expansion targets as part of a restructuring strategy. Global comparable sales rose 7.9% while management trimmed its store opening outlook. The store pruning protects profitability.

Did the location close because it wasn’t profitable? If so, there isn’t much that we (or anyone) can do.

Just so everyone is aware of the state of things in Canadastan: a Jewish CBC journalist was reportedly pulled off air and hauled into a disciplinary hearing after documenting protesters outside the Yom Kippur service he was attending. At some point we’re going to have to come get the Canadian Jewish community ourselves. Operation Solomon II is going to need more planes.
I'm a journalist. And I happen to be Jewish. On Yom Kippur I went to a synagogue service in Toronto and was met by protesters trying to taunt and intimidate me from entering the building. 1/5

I get asked on here why I dislike TV reboots... 1) A lazy & unimaginative concept 2) Rarely capture the spirit & essence of the original 3) Classic series are products of a specific time & place. You can't reheat the ingredients in a TV microwave & expect them to taste as good.

I've been a cardiologist for 25+ years. The last 90 days changed medicine more than the last decade, and almost nobody noticed. Here are the 10 biggest AI breakthroughs, and why you should be excited, not afraid 🧵 1/ 37,000 AI agents. One "virtual biotech." It analyzed thousands of trials, figured out which drug targets actually work in humans, and independently proposed a lung cancer strategy that a major pharma company later pursued. AI isn't a search engine anymore. It's a co-scientist. 2/ The first drug discovered AND designed entirely by AI (Insilico's rentosertib) just entered Phase 3. In patients, it reversed biological age by 3–6 years across six different aging clocks. Read that again! 3/ As a cardiologist, this one gives me chills. The FDA authorized "Queen of Hearts," an AI that reads a standard ECG and catches heart attacks, including the hidden ones doctors miss. 2x the sensitivity. Far fewer false alarms. It pages the cardiology team itself. In a heart attack, minutes are muscle. 4/ EchoNext spots 6 types of hidden structural heart disease from a cheap, 10-second ECG, and it does it better than cardiologists. It already flagged a patient who went on to get a heart transplant. Screening that used to need an echo lab now needs a test any clinic can run. 5/ UpDoc is the first FDA-cleared AI that talks directly to patients. It checks in between visits, adjusts insulin within limits the doctor sets, and documents everything in the chart. Chronic disease no longer has to wait for your next appointment. 6/ An autonomous AI agent called MIRA, with full access to medical records, went head-to-head with ER physicians on hundreds of real cases. AI: 87.8% correct Doctors: 78.1% It ordered the tests, read the results, and wrote the plan. 7/ Google released MedGemma 1.5 and MedASR, open medical AI for imaging and clinical speech that anyone can build on. Every hospital. Every researcher. Every country. Open models mean medicine moves at internet speed. 8/ The FDA authorized Aletta, the first robot that draws blood on its own. It gets the vein on the first stick 94–95% of the time, even hard veins. One technician supervises three robots. The most common procedure in medicine just got automated. 9/ UCLA's SLIViT matches specialists on 3D MRI, CT, ultrasound, and retinal scans, and it's 5,000x faster. It isn't a new model for every organ. One architecture reads them all. 10/ The FDA has now authorized 1,600+ AI medical devices. They cover radiology, cardiology, and surgery, including real-time AI that checks breast cancer margins while the patient is still on the table. This isn't coming. It's here. What this means to you: → Drugs that took 10–15 years are showing human results in a fraction of the time → Heart attacks get caught on a cheap ECG, not after a collapse → Doctors get hours back → Patients get answers between visits → Aging itself is becoming treatable This isn't "AI will replace your doctor." It's AI finally becoming good enough that medicine starts to compound. The next 18 months will feel different. Bookmark this. We're early. Stay positive!!!

If you’re watching QP today, relevant to know the current parole regime was put in place by the Harper government.
"Liberal parole is out of control." Hey, @FrankCaputoKTN. Did you come up with that yourself? Or was that direct from The Leader, @PierrePoilievre, himself? You know #CPC Cons take parole seriously when they come up with a new slogan for it. What an unserious party.

You may disagree with how the City spends money. But it is demonstrably false to suggest that Toronto’s budget has gone unscrutinized - internally or externally - for 15 years. Toronto’s budget process is rigorous, public and independently recognized. It is not merely an internal administrative exercise as you imply. Mayor Tory deserves credit for much of this rigor. Mayor Chow has maintained the award-winning process over the past three years. Every division and agency submits detailed operating and capital budgets covering service levels, staffing, revenues, expenditures, performance measures, equity impacts and proposed savings. Staff conduct line-by-line reviews using three to five years of actual spending. The public can examine divisional budget and briefing notes, watch committee deliberations, make written submissions and speak directly to the Budget Committee. More than 25,000 residents participated in the 2026 process. The process integrates an $18.9-billion annual operating budget with a $63.1-billion, 10-year capital plan and the City’s long-term financial strategy. ALSO, Council receives public operating and capital variance reports throughout the year, supported by divisional dashboards and in-year adjustments. There are also multiple layers of independent oversight. The Auditor General conducts value-for-money audits, while an external auditor examines the City’s annual financial statements. KPMG issued clean audit opinions on Toronto’s 2025 statements. Toronto’s budget has received the Government Finance Officers Association’s Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for 15 consecutive years. The award assesses whether a budget excels as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide and public communication tool. The process also reflects internationally recognized OECD principles of sound budget governance, including long-term planning, transparency, public participation, performance measurement, effective execution and independent oversight. Bradford has been on Council since 2018. He has served on the Budget Committee, chaired a budget consultation subcommittee and served as vice-chair of the Budget Committee. He knows how rigorous and public this process is. Disagree with the spending decisions, that is fair game. But don’t pretend the scrutiny doesn’t exist. Why misrepresent a process you know firsthand?
