People in an orderly line going to vote at a conveniently open early polling location is what voter suppression looks like? No, this is what voter suppression looks like. Before the Voting Rights Act, only 6.7% of voting-age Black residents were registered. In 2024, 83.1% of Black Mississippians were registered to vote, MORE than the 78.8% of white Mississippians. This is dishonest to the core, and offensive to the legacy of real victims of civil rights abuses.
This is what voter suppression looks like.

NYT is the weirdest mix of post-structuralist slop and bourgeois self-pity, dressed up as investigative journalism.

PHP security risks remain high and PHP mitigation requires immediate attention. Our guidance is further supported by additional agencies including @CISACyber, @NCSC, @ASDGovAu, and CERT-EU. If you have not reviewed your exposure and applied mitigations, now is the time. Please read the linked resources, follow requisite vendor guidance, assess your environment, and implement mitigations without delay. nsa.gov/Press-Room/Press-Rel…

I can’t accept this is AI, even if it is. It too perfectly encapsulates like 1940s technicolor weirdness. x.com/AgentChud/status/21067…

So what’s up with Citrix NetScalers — holy shit. You’re telling me: 1. Attackers basically send code 2. The NS logs what they sent 3. A vulnerable privileged Perl script periodically reads the logs, doesn’t escape the inputs right, and executes that code (CVE-2026-88771)

Finally, economics for people whose entire worldview is “I counted everyone’s money and some people have too much.”
I'd rather have an economy that makes 1,000 millionaires than 1 billionaire.

I’ve always dreamed of owning a $20 million house in Greenwich. It would enrich my life enormously. An indoor pool, stone pillar colonnade, and 5 car garage would be immensely rewarding. Unfortunately, I can’t afford it. It’s an access and equity problem. The federal government should lend me the $20 million. Whether I can realistically repay it shouldn’t determine whether I deserve the opportunity. I can make income-based payments for a while, and if the numbers never work, the government can forgive the balance. After all, the government has money. And if millions of us take out mortgages we can’t repay, that doesn’t mean the loans were irresponsible. It means we have a national housing-debt crisis requiring forgiveness. Why should only rich people have access to $20 million houses?
Trump is banning students majoring in degrees that don’t make enough money from taking out college loans. Degrees for social work, art, religious studies, teaching aides, and music will be hit the hardest. trib.al/NmmAzhf

I do wonder what happens to home prices in Greenwich once everyone knows Uncle Sam will lend essentially whatever a house costs though. Surely sellers won’t notice that buyers suddenly have access to enormous amounts of federally backed money and adjust their asking prices accordingly. I’m sure the $20 million houses will remain $20 million purely out of principle. And if they become $30 million, well, obviously the solution is increasing the federal mortgage limit so ordinary Americans aren’t priced out. It’s only fair!
