Genuine question: Why does Apple Music feel so sexless?

I'm giving it a shot for the 3rd time and while it *sounds better* and AirPlay actually works I just don't like how it *feels*. I even tried putting it in dark mode to see if that was all it was but no… Curious to hear theories!

Perhaps it's just the lack of human feeling touches in the artwork that makes it feel sterile?

Or just the off the shelf SwiftUI tutorial feel of Apple Music? Very scalable, very yawn, nothing fun.

Album art is doing a lot of lifting here—still a very vanilla app considering its rich history (coverflow, visualizer)

Yeah, just wanted to point out it’s hard to beat custom artwork of Apple Music on iOS. Guess for macOS there is iTunes heritage and they’re just going safe way with small steps, nothing bald.
