A fellow referee in Wales lost twins in the Aberfan disaster. Both he and his wife are gone now. RIP the poor souls lost that tragic day, and also those whose lives changed forever. 💔

Having a little break in Benidorm with my beautiful dragon. Two great friends joined us for part of the trip, their first visit to the ‘dorm. Hope they enjoyed it as much as we did! #LuckyWelshref

Memories as a youngster sat with mum and dad watching Robins Nest starring Richard O’Sullivan. In the mid 90’s he was a guest at a charity snooker event I worked at in Birmingham. I was in awe of this TV legend, he was an unassuming, down to earth, absolute gentleman. RIP sir.

Our dog, Chase, is a proper Daddy’s boy. My dragon still isn’t quite feeling 100% and I’ve gone to bed, she has 20 mins left on a film I got bored with. Chase senses she’s not right so won’t leave her. First time I’ve gone to bed without him following me! Legend 🐶❤️

My wife hit her head in work last week, tripped over a loose cable 🤦 phoned her doctor yesterday, he was too busy, so went to hospital. X-ray showed nothing broken, sent to another hospital for a CT scan. 9 hours to diagnose concussion. ALL staff were amazing, NHS is broken 😢

It was a special moment picking up the cheque for the highest break tonight, sadly, Guodong wants it back though. Tough life being a TD 🤪

Thank you all so, so much for the kind birthday wishes. An unusual day today as I’ve used a bullet train to make a return trip between Shanghai and Nanjing for a meeting! One way was 185 miles, took under an hour….🤷
Back in Shanghai now having a cold one, or two 👍👍

I avoid political comments here, for obvious reasons, but I do hope this change of leadership helps the whole country, God knows, we need something. 🤞

Despite the sad experience in Benidorm about 2 years ago with a gang of England rugby fans screaming for Argentina against Wales, I wish England good fortune tonight, hope they play well and win🤞👍

England winning in ‘66 was before my time, but I’ve heard about it all my life, so far….
If they win again this year, and I genuinely hope they do!, my Welsh grandchildren will endure what I’ve been through for 56 years.
Still, honestly, wishing them every success tonight 🤞👍

I only watch tennis in Wimbledon fortnight so not qualified to comment, but I’m going to say, well done Arthur Fery. Outstanding achievement, Wildcard in the semis, just the second time ever. 👍🎾
