At my age, this going out, out is exhausting but so worth it. Gene at the Roundhouse Camden. They sound as good now as they ever did.

My son watched tennis on centre court today. I text him. Mr Peskett, when you've been on centre court at Wimbledon, do you need a nice relaxing poo? Been doing this line, from The Stotts, since he was 5. He didn't get to watch it until he was much older. Never get gets old.

1. Dr Ger Graus Fleas are placed in a jar with a lid. They jump and hit the lid repeatedly. Eventually, they learn not to jump as high. When the lid is removed, they still don’t jump out -even though they now could. So how does that show the hidden dangers in education?

2. Learned limitations Students can internalise boundaries that no longer exist. If education over-emphasises rules, “right answers,” or rigid systems, learners may stop taking risks, even when they’re capable of more.

4. Conditioning over curiosity Education can sometimes prioritise compliance (“do it this way”) over exploration (“what if we tried this?”). This can reduce curiosity and independent thought.
16
3. . Fear of failure Like the fleas hitting the lid, repeated “failure” (or punishment for mistakes) can train students to play safe. They may avoid creativity, challenge, or original thinking.

The most stressful part of texting is hitting send and then watching autocorrect reveal what it thinks you meant

A student who has no idea how to begin this problem, is not empowered by looking up the #answer but by having their #curiosity engaged! Ss can independently click the @kamiapp “Explain” tool, and be guided (in their language of choice) as to how to begin problem-solving on their own ✨ #answer
