Secular culture mocks Christian morality. Monogamy is viewed as prudish. Abstinence is for losers. Sobriety is boring. Meanwhile, the children of secular culture are having threesomes in college and snorting ketamine off each other's genitals. Now they're debating about whether one can consent to a threesome, but not an orgy, depending on when the drugs kicked in. This is the consequence of immorality; chaos, trauma, and degradation.

The Cornell case is funny because they had verbal consent with witnesses and written consent after the fact through text messages and that’s probably more proof of consent than any sexual encounter anyone has ever had yet half the country still thinks they’re rapists.

Once you see many of the ways in which the devil attacks marriage and the family, especially from one generation to the next, you can’t unsee them. Best we can do much of the time is pray. There’s no need to be afraid, but be aware. Oh, and complaining about the opposite sex all the time doesn’t solve the problem; the devil wants that.

I understand that the social security conversation is political poison. But I’m not running for office so I don’t care about that. Taking huge chunks out of the paychecks of young working Americans in order to pay for the retirements of older Americans who have a net worth several times higher, all to prop up a system that everyone knows likely won’t be there when those younger people are retirement age themselves, is morally abhorrent and economically insane. Everyone knows it, too, but we’re held hostage by elderly politicians who refuse to surrender power, and older voters who, as a group (with exceptions, obviously), simply don’t care all that much about the financial and cultural future their grandchildren will inherit.

So many people seem to have no interest in putting down roots. They think they’re a milkweed seed that needs to be carried away by the wind. But you’ve already found your place in the soil. Denying your roots the chance to grow will only lead to withering.

Healthy Choice used to sell these pumpkin ravioli Cafe Steamers that was really good but they just disappeared. That was years ago and I still occasionally look for them in the fall.
