Not a ‘WICKED’ post however I would love it if everyone could go out and support this film! This is my friends first official main producer credit on a film and I am so incredibly proud of him.

One of the stupidest critiques during the ‘WICKED’ hate train was when people would try to use the argument of “Broadway performers sing these songs live 8 times a week” to try and minimize the difficulty of live singing in a movie musical. Imagine spending an entire day shooting a sequence from a movie and singing the incredibly difficult material over and over and over again until you have the perfect shot. They’re two totally different mediums which both require and insane amount of skill and talent.

Guess who finally bought tickets to go see Cynthia Erivo at the Hollywood Bowl

Just wanted to share something today. About a year ago I had the chance to meet Cynthia Erivo in a private setting (only about 15 people total were there). In this session I got to ask her questions about the ‘WICKED’ films & do some photo opportunities. This was such a special moment for me and I decided to keep it as a private memory for myself as it was truly a once in a lifetime experience. What you should know is that Cynthia Erivo is not only one of the most gorgeous people I have ever seen in person in my life, but she also has an aura about her that is nearly impossible to describe. When you speak with her she looks you dead in your eyes, seeing YOU. She speaks and listens with intent, making sure you are heard. She doesn’t just go through the motions, she actually takes the time to be present. There are no words to describe the softness & kindness in her eyes. Everything you expect Cynthia Erivo to be, she is that and so much more.
