To all the $gme people who don't trust crypto this is genuinely different than prior iterations of memecoins.
These memecoins are paired with tokenized gamestop stock. Which means every time someone buys the memecoin, it creates a buy on the tokenized stock pool. That's why you all have been seeing so much onchain share volume recently.
What this means is that a memecoin or group of memecoins pumping creates demand for shares on the real life market.
Many of you say that we can't know if they're real shares. But I disagree, because the blockchain is public, all we have to do is send the memecoins high enough to bring the float onchain so we can count them. This is a way more transparent mechanic than the DRS movement, since we dont get a public real count of DRS numbers. It's actually possible for the first time for memes to be complementary with demand for the actual stock.
On top of all this, you get paid rewards in the form of tokenized gamestop stock just for holding these. A fee gets taken on every trade of these coins which is saved and paid to holders of the coins.
I actually think part of the current gamestop run can be attributed to this new class of memecoins, many of which were created in the last 45 days, coincidentally around the time that gamestop stock bottomed.

There's currently 723,699 shares onchain.
When the price onchain increases from memecoin demand past what its trading on the real life market, it creates demand for real gamestop shares to be brought onchain to bring the price back in line.
