Super excited to share our teams review now out in @NatureRevEndo! We review how obesity changes lymphatic-adipose tissue crosstalk, and the potential therapeutic strategies to restore lymphatic function and alleviate obesity and its co-morbidities. @NatalieTrevaski

Super proud of this work now out in Molecular Metabolism! 🧫 We show that palmitate metabolism is rewired in activated hepatic stellate cells to supply amino acids for collagen secretion, reframing how FFA’s support fibrogenesis. Great team @MattWattUnimelb

So excited to share this work that reflects the great team that underpinned it. I’m not biased, I’m just first author!… #EMCR #ECR #MASLD
Incredibly proud of this work. We detail the evolution of liver-secreted and plasma proteins with MASLD progression, providing a rich resource defining human hepatokines and a predictive model that stratifies MASH. @will_denardo @UniMelbMDHS cell.com/cell-reports-medici…

Congratulations to @will_denardo on his first, first author paper, publishing a novel regulator of hepatic lipid metabolism in @MolMetab! Great work from @UniMelbMDHS @Paula_M_Miotto @staceykeenan_ @MattWattUnimelb and team!
Interested in how the liver adapts to exercise training? Work from @will_denardo in the lab identifies changes in hepatokine secretion with training and uncovers SDC4 as a regulator of hepatic lipid metabolism @UniMelbMDHS #exercise #liver #metabolism doi.org/10.1016/j.molmet.202…

Testing an automated pipeline to quantify fibrosis in liver using @CellProfiler. Lipid droplets are masked and fibrosis outlined and quantified. Looks reasonable. If anyone has a similar pipeline, or wants to test this out, let me know. It's free, scalable and objective!
