Pirate had her cast made for her brace. We will mail the cast to the company which makes the brace. She did great yesterday, but it tired her out.

Good Monday Morning! We are up early to take Pirate to the vet’s office. She will be there all day, so they can measure her for her brace. Then we send off the cast, for the brace to be made. Good Morning! Last night the pups started barking after midnight, which is very unusual. This went on and off for 30 minutes. We both went out to look around, the pups did not leave their beds, and were looking at the sliding glass door. Were they barking at their reflections? PT Dad let Wings out to look around and nothing. Luckily, they settled down. Bowzer was sleeping thru most of this, but then moved in front of our bedroom door. Happy Wednesday. The last day of September. It has been a difficult month. I had my account stolen. The PTA Army was formed and thanks to my fantastic followers, I was able to get my account back. Pirate torn her knees ligaments and has been stressful caring for her. Even with injuries, she never stops. My kitchen was finally finished!! A short video recapping the month. Today, we went to get our haircuts. Who knew we would be entertained. A guide car lead an oversized tractor trailer down narrow streets in downtown. The truck went to make a turn and was too big. Luckily, he only ran over a sign. Thankfully, our car was a block away. Police had to come and block off the streets. Here is the truck backing up, the way he came.😂😂😂

Good Morning! Today, is the 2 year anniversary of Hurricane Helene. Many people are still trying to put their lives back together.🙏🙏🙏 We have made a decision regarding Pirate. After much discussion, research and listening to the vets, we decided on a brace. Looking at the risk-benefits, it will be best for her. There are so many concerns that Pirate could ruin the surgery. One wrong step or getting too active and she could destroy the surgical area. The brace will still have restrictions, especially the first few weeks, but not as much as the surgery. Good Morning! The weekend is here!!! Today is my niece’s 45th birthday. She is a great person, a wonderful mother of 3 and the best trauma NP, she is my Mini-Me. As a child, with her brothers there was chaos. Looks like her youngest follows in her footsteps. She still likes fun as she tries her son’s one step.🎉🎉🎉 Let’s not forget the pup. Good Wednesday Morning! Low 60’s with much less humidity. Felt so nice.🍁🍂 Pirate saw the surgeon yesterday. He was very good, explained the procedure and risks, so it was easy to understand. If we were unsure of the surgery, he recommended a brace. Pirate would be restricted for 3 months and leash walked.😞 If this was Wings, it would be an easy decision. Wings would love to stay inside for 3 months. Pirate is so hyper, she never stops. When mentioned to the vet, he said she could be medicated. That made me a little sick. Lots to think about.
