Gave permission to @FerretPerHour to post some of our ferrets from the rescue. This one is Mocha and he has DIM (Disseminated Idiopathic Myofasciitis) which is an auto-immune disorder where Neutrophils (part of the immune system) attack his body. Using a special kind of chemotherapy that is in the testing phase we were able to drop his neutrophils to a level where he regenerates faster than the damage done. We then repeated the same results with Latte another DIM impacted ferret. My hope is that we can wipe this thing out eventually. Until then we can give at least some of them a normal life. ferrets.live
