WMTx Recovery Update The @chainlink CCIP bridge between @base and @BNBCHAIN is now open, restoring the ability to move base:0x3e31966d4f81c72d2a55310a6365a56a4393e98d between the two networks. In addition, @bitvavocom resumed base:0x3e31966d4f81c72d2a55310a6365a56a4393e98d trading at 7:00 p.m. CET today. Another important step toward restoring normal WMTx market operations. Update on the WMTX bridge incident. Where we are. The exploit was on the @SingularityNET bridge. Unauthorised WMTX was minted on Ethereum. It's contained. Minting is stopped, the pre exploit snapshot is done, and exchange trading is paused while we finish the work to reopen safely. The team has been on it since the first hour with the exchanges, market makers, security partners and law enforcement. We've had a call with the @SingularityNET team and we're working through their incident reports with @zeroshadow_io alongside our own people. We still haven't heard from @bengoertzel, even though his team said he would call. @coinbase have been brilliant. @bitvavocom, @krakenfx and @chainlink equally. When it mattered, they picked up the phone and moved. Detailed holder updates are in Discord. What I've learned. 1. What a community. Within hours the messages, the support and the offers of help were pouring in from every corner. Mobilers, you rock! 2. What a team. The people inside World Mobile have turned this around fast. 3. Humans will be humans. When you're down, some people will try to kick you. Water off a duck's back. We're building. They're posting. 4. Own your infrastructure. In July the Wanchain bridge lost 515 million NIGHT. Bridge after bridge, the same story. It's not just us, we got lucky because the damage was mitigated so quickly by our own people and our partners.
