Making driving more difficult, costly & awkward in the hope of encouraging modal shift only works if the public transport is affordable & reliable. Which it really isn’t in Bath & hasn’t been for ages now infact I’d say it’s worse than ever atm 🤷♀️

Good buses are proven to reduce car use , not bike lanes, not LTN’s but buses. Which in Bath are ina dire state not being helped by narrowing arterial rds, more LTN’s or the amount of roadworks everywhere. Sort the buses out please 🙏 @bathnesld @BathNESGreens @BathLabour

Now driver is refusing to give me a ticket saying I don’t need one! Shall I tell that to ticket inspectors - he says if I want a ticket I’ll have to pay again - 😳

We are often told it works in the Netherlands, however, this is a zebra crossing close to a tram stop in Amsterdam. The bikes, e-bike and mopeds have no intention of stopping for passengers and pedestrians. The zebra crossings are like a chocolate fireguard.

In the 2 weeks since it opened, so many cyclists have been observed riding the wrong way up the single direction cycle track that the Council has now painted NO ENTRY on it. There isn’t enough paint anywhere to make unsafe infrastructure safe for blind people. #WhiteCaneSafetyDay
