Whatโ€™s the first thing you think of when you see Roddy McDowall?
Oh damn. Well, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective is the funniest of the bunch, Death Becomes Her is a great horror comedy, Space Jam I liked as a kidโ€ฆ but I think Iโ€™d have to go with Mars Attacks. Itโ€™s one of Tim Burtonโ€™s most Burton-y films in the best way.

Over the years, this has become my favorite of the Universal horror films. Scary, dreamy, violent and perfectly acted. It has a kind of mysticism and atmosphere that you really lose yourself in. On top of all that, it has one of my favorite heroines in any horror film ever.
The Mummy (1932)

It ainโ€™t perfect, but damn it I like this movie. Some of the action is quite good, itโ€™s gleefully sex positive, the villains are some of the most fun to watch in any Bond film (official or otherwise) and Sean Connery is charming as hell.

Goldfinger is fantastic. Sean Connery and Honor Blackman have sizzling chemistry.
Honor Blackman REALLY enjoyed working with Sean Connery in Goldfinger (1964) "He is without doubt the sexiest man I've ever met. He has a natural authority, charisma... he's very virile" How would she know about that last part? Makes you wonder if Pussy succumbed to Bond's charms

I'm going to just spitball here and say this is one of the reasons why the first John Wick movie resonated so deeply with a lot of folks. It was, at its heart, a romance. Master assassin, walks away from it all for...a woman. Completes herculean tasks so that he can be with her in peace. She dies and leaves him with something to love, because she knows he needs it. Thugs come and kill the puppy, the only living piece of her John has left. He then "walks into hell with a shotgun" and burns the entire place down. That is classic, dragon slaying romance with a slick, modern veneer.

Hereโ€™s the thing about โ€œKeep theaters alive!โ€ and โ€œGo watch this film in the movie theater!โ€ Itโ€™s a two-way agreement. The audience agrees to pay to see films in a theater only if: - The filmmakers are shooting scripts that have a thesis statement/intention/point. - The actors and director are giving it their all, and not phoning it in. - The edit has trimmed off all the fat. - The film isnโ€™t some didactic exercise, intent on jamming a โ€œlessonโ€ into us. - The studio executives have paid close attention to the film from start to finish and have given the filmmakers useful notes to keep it all on-track. - The film is entertaining. - (And the theater managers are maintaining some order and decorum in the theaters themselves.) Otherwise, the audiences will continue to stay home and wait for the films to come online, so they can maybe watch five minutes of it or scrub through, and then turn it off. The film has to be excellent. Or at least try in that direction. Much of what is released is just not good enough.

In the Mario Teaches Typing games, Mario never criticizes the player for underperforming and tries to be understanding and supportive. According to Charles Martinet, that was his initiative, as he felt being negative would go against the core principles of Mario's character.

It killed hundreds of thousands of French, including all of the leaders of the Revolution, it drove France into economic devastation causing mass starvation, launched a series of wars of conquest (lost), and then resulted in an empire that lead a world war killing millions. Yes, it was a terrible thing.
