Imo posting feels best as exhaust from a real, active life. You go outside and live and experience, then posts emerge from that. If you’re posting for its own sake, detached from experience, something can start to feel off
After years of observation, researchers concluded that the unusually high posting frequency was not evidence of a full-time content operation. The subject simply noticed things, had thoughts about them and sometimes typed them into her phone.

grok thinks because I'm coach, I'm giving @ryanraysr an edge. grok is goddamn right.
Paul edges as favorite on ops/PE credentials, larger platform, and hosting the podcast. Your prep work and coach close some of that. Influencer topic keeps it competitive either way.

My experiences recently: On the positive side: AI caught a pretty material problem in a doc that our attorney missed (thankfully prior to us proposing the doc to our counter-parties). On the negative side: AI sent me down two ~two week long rabbit holes by raising what seemed like serious problems w very important agreements. In both cases, detailed conversations with specialist attorneys allayed my worst fears.

I take people to my private club and they can’t even try to pay. their money (cash or card) isn’t accepted there.
THESE ARE THE LUNCH/BAR TAB RULES 1. Law students NEVER pay if out with a lawyer 2. If there are two lawyers, the senior lawyer pays 3. A junior lawyer MAY pay only if he insists because he is trying to make a show of appreciation or respect, and refusing his offer would be an insult. Only applies if it is a two lawyer lunch. 4. If two equal lawyers, the one in his home town pays. Splitting is allowed if they are both from town, or both not from town. Otherwise, he who gets his card to the waitress first, wins. 5. If more than two lawyers, and splitting the check would result in something other than a 50-50 split (because you have an associate with you or whatnot) he who is responsible for more than 50% of the check anyway shall pay the whole check. 6. Except in scenarios 1 or 3, it is acceptable to allow the non payer to contribute the tip, but the tip must be excessive.

First time I met my then-girlfriend's father (later FIL) at the Bohemian Club for a drink, I did not know this. A bit awkward. Fortunately, I was *not* the first young man meeting a prospective FIL at the Bohemian Club and someone else took care of me while I cooled my heels.

I spend exactly the same amount of time worrying about the downside of AI as I do about politics or the economy: zero You and I have exactly ZERO impact on what will unfold Complete lack of agency with macro events and developments Complete waste of energy worrying about this, like watching the news and getting worked up Be aware of what’s happening, position for upside, but don’t catastrophize Find happiness in the micro and make progress in everyday life (your business, family, environment, thoughts, actions) While your competition is frozen and in fear Everything is going to be OK And if it’s not, there’s nothing you could have done

Dear X fam, Paul has no shot. If you want to see him lose (assuming he actually publishes the video) stay quiet. However, if you are on Team Paul, then perhaps you and I should do a friendly debate so the man sees what Redneck Ryan is gonna bring to the table and will give him a chance to get sick that day. Honestly, his attorney should be fired for not making the contract so crazy that I wouldn't even sign it and therefore spare Paul. In fact, if your attorney wants to get a verbal beatdown before, I'm ready. Brother, I'm coming for the belt. 10/20 is the EPIC mixer. Fun and games. Will be a blast. Basically the last time you can be respected in public. 10/21 you will be offering me six figures so we dont have to publish the video. There's level to this game. And you play at the bottom. The champ is coming to Tampa. DM me 👇 or email me ryan@adastraequity.com nitter.net/messages/compose…

Ran my first half marathon today. Devastating to discover that some things in life do actually require consistent dedicated preparation and you can’t just “try really hard on the day” Fun though, will do it again

When I started running, my easy pace was 11:00/mile and my heart rate was 145-150. Now my easy pace is 8:00-8:30/mi and 125-135 HR and I have to run at ~7:00/mi pace to get my HR into the mid 140s. That took well over 2 years and the improvement wasn't all that noticible run to run, or week to week, or even really month to month. But the improvement was very clear after 3 months, then 6 months, 12 months, 2 years, etc. Problem is, most people rarely give any program enough time to work. Very few people consistently follow a plan for even 3 months, let alone a year. But if you do, you won't believe the results.

it used to require immense amounts of attention to detail and close reading for transactional lawyers to find typos in other people's drafts -- or typos in iterative drafts of a transaction agreement, deep in the agreed-upon language that the redline doesn't highlight. I had a partner that was really good at that, I would hand them a document and they would hand me back something circled in four places. how did they find that! over time, even I got somewhat good at that. I find mistakes in signs and pamphlets out in real life often. now finding these just means you ran it through the robot. hours of my life saved every turn of an agreement. my work and the way that I do it, the way that I've done it over a decade, has totally changed. I will never need to painstakingly do this ever again.

I would have to announce to the team that I was finding a conference room to do a "clean read" of a document! find quiet time and headspace and the energy, the eyes, the focus, to be able to go do that. and then disappear for several hours, take out a highlighter, eagle eye a document and match defined terms and section references! read each sentence and the mechanics of different parts of the document to make sure it all hung together! now this takes seconds.

there are many ways AI has changed my practice, many for the worse. but this one may be one for the better? whole chunks of close reading, totally mechanical, wasted time, now no long necessary.
