Here's a look at where traffic is being diverted off I-5 in Tumwater. The interstate is closed in both directions. There are power outages and delays on detour routes in the area. Continue to delay travel if possible. We'll reopen the road as soon as we can.

We're working with utility crews to cleanup downed wires on I-5 between Tumwater and Maytown. The road is closed. Traffic is diverted around the closure on SR 121. Avoid the area. If you're traveling, expect delays along the detour until work is complete.

UPDATE 3: Three left lanes of SB I-5 on the Ship Canal Bridge remain blocked due to a collision involving a semi. The left lane is closed just south of this incident for construction. We are seeing 6+ miles of backup into Shoreline. Consider taking SR 99 or other routes.

UPDATE 2: SB I-5 just north of NE 45th St on the Ship Canal Bridge is down to one lane due to a collision involving two semis. South of this, the left lane is closed for repairs. Access to EB 520 is not impacted. We are seeing about 5 miles of backup into Northgate. Plan ahead.

SR 291 is REOPEN from Spokane to Suncrest, near Spokane Complex Fires. Crews surveyed 6 acres of land for slope stability and felled dozens of trees to prepare the road for opening. They did all work while the road was closed and in coordination with fire crews.
