Many said PMCs being poor in difficult wipes = everyone rats. Yet season is by far easier, no fir flea, icebreaker/black division loot, faster progress, ez economy.... Maybe hotspot loot meta & difficult economy truly was the key for healthy PvP?

There was something special about "dying 10x doesn't matter because that one loot hit makes up for it" Maybe that's what caused players to engage in PvP more and not care about dodging fights & surviving as much

level 24 guy in 2021: I’m gonna rush to dorms, push everyone & fucking die for the 7th time in a row but I’ll get that marked room Level 68 guy in 2026: I just spawned & if I sit in this spot for 10m I’ll be able to beam a guy doing quests with my fully kitted meta ammo gun

so the current state of Tarkov is that PvP, which makes up the majority of endgame, is at a multi year low. But then simultaneously the game gets continuously way easier so everyone can rush through the early/midgame content ?

I’ve kept track of it and spawned 87/100 streets raids in the apartment at interchange transit I’m not believing anymore in bad luck there’s 100% something broken, the hardware schizos might’ve been right

Balancing changes have been made in #EscapefromTarkov. Based on your feedback, the skill leveling speed and in-raid skill leveling limits have been adjusted. As a result, all character skills will now increase up to 60% faster across all game modes. This change is intended to make skill progression feel more tangible and rewarding.

I haven't played yet - anyone tested whether it's a +60% on the raid gain cap or just +60% more skill EXP?

I’ve noticed that many studios trying to build an extraction shooter fail at the depth level, such as eco & task systems, which the genre relies on. Tarkov has a decade+ development that’s hard to reproduce & might just remain the only long term relevant extraction shooter

Tarkov always had this unique “one big grind reward” to commit to. Even with wipes, ppl could get & enjoy a lil flex. All of them now getting watered down just feels off ngl it’s like a core piece of the game getting killed

imo low accessible level 40+ ammo + very rare high tier headwear > current balance I enjoyed the PvP in wipes with low access ammo by far the most excluding the hitbox mess or similar controverse conditions

It is unfortunate that we never really experienced that meta with current conditions. Hardcore wipe was the closest we got to it due locked trader/flea but high tier ammo & headwear was still easy accessible via boss/elite farm.
