how much does Polymarket affect the price of $UMA?
Polymarket is the main user of UMA oracle infrastructure
if we measure it through TVS (Total Value Secured)
and as we know, Polymarket markets are resolved through UMA’s Optimistic Oracle, and in case of a dispute, it can go to a vote by UMA token holders
maybe Polymarket has an even bigger impact here than on $POL
the impact of Polymarket on the price of $POL is underestimated
a huge part of the current demand for this token exists only because Polymarket runs on this network
right now for many people Polygon = Polymarket
and overall, this is not a bad thing for either project

Trump will meet with AI CEOs on September 29
they have all called for slowing down the development of powerful models
I hope the US government can control its ambitions and understand the point of view of all the major AI companies
their conversation at the meeting will be simple
Anthropic CEO: we need to seriously limit the development of powerful AI models
US President: we can't afford to stop, China will overtake us soon
I doubt they'll agree on anything

- so it turns out that Polymarket U.S. already has a public API for developers
this may be obvious to some users, but definitely not to me

thanks to all the CEX hacks, we got to see the people who hold a lot of users' money
I'm talking about CEOs. they are the main face of any exchange
- how they reacted to the hack
- how quickly they returned all the money to users
- whether they sent users a bonus as an apology
etc
that's how you see who actually treats users' money as their responsibility (and who doesn't)

interdependence between Polymarket and Polygon continues to grow every day
Polymarket team is building more and more systems on the Polygon blockchain
while the Polygon team is improving its network to handle all of Polymarket's needs
- and with every new product from Polymarket, this interdependence only grows
and more activity could also mean more value accrual for $POL
so it looks like everyone wins here
but I can't say that this is clearly good or bad for Polymarket

lawsuits like this only delay the $POLY launch indefinitely
and we shouldn't forget that US politics could change a lot in 2028
