Cloudflare decides what to cache by file extension. 56 of them, and HTML is not on the list.
A WordPress pretty permalink ends in a slash and has no extension at all, so your pages never match by accident.

WordPress 7.1.2 registers 190 script handles and gives exactly 2 of them a loading strategy.
Ask for defer and core can refuse it. One dependent with no strategy is enough, and the only trace is an attribute in your HTML.

Five of ten WordPress caching pricing pages give no year-two price. Three never mention renewal.
One of the worst is ours: our banner, plan card and FAQ describe the same launch discount three ways. We're fixing it.
Before you renew, ask in writing.

Google Fonts tuned the way every guide says: median LCP 7,501 ms.
Self-hosted fonts: 5,562 ms.
Measured on 1,186 WordPress sites. Preconnect alone changed nothing we could detect (p = 0.098).

WP Fastest Cache: $49 once.
W3 Total Cache Pro: $99 a year, $297 by year three.
We priced nine WordPress caching licences to 2029 from each vendor's own page. Order them by year three instead of year one and seven of the nine change places.

Nine performance engines. One plugin. Free. ⚡
Caching, minification, lazy load, object cache, CDN, database cleanup, and a built-in MCP server for AI control.

958 WordPress sites scanned over 10 days. Caching cut median TTFB by 73% — from 442ms to 121ms.
Median LCP barely moved: 5.05s to 5.35s. Caching fixes the server. It doesn't touch the browser half of the wait.

xSpeed Cache MCP connects your site's real performance data and settings to any MCP-compatible AI assistant.
Read cache data, adjust settings, manage multiple sites — without leaving your chat. Free tier included.
Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini all cite sources directly now — no click required to get the answer.
Site speed and content structure both affect whether your site gets chosen as that source. Most WordPress sites optimize for neither.
Connect your WordPress sites to xSpeed Hub, give Claude or ChatGPT one MCP connection, and ask for a perfect PageSpeed score.

Your checkout page can't be cached — it holds per-user cart and session data by design.
So the fix isn't a cache setting. It's keeping checkout dynamic while making everything around it (cart, product pages, account) load fast instead.
Both xSpeed Cache and WP Rocket now ship an MCP server for AI assistants.
The difference is architectural: WP Rocket connects one site at a time. xSpeed Cache reaches an entire fleet, across workspaces, from a single connection.

The WordPress.org directory now returns 306 MCP plugins.
We ranked the 10 worth actually connecting, using live install counts and ratings pulled straight from the Plugin API — not vendor claims.

WP Rocket passes Core Web Vitals on 50% of the origins running it — that's field data, not a lab test.
Two alternatives score higher. Several free ones come close. Worth checking before you renew.
