Geoffrey Hinton (Godfather of AI) says increasing AI productivity could actually make society worse More goods. More services. More of everything, for everyone. That is what a huge jump in productivity is supposed to deliver. The reason it won't has nothing to do with the technology failing. It has to do with who owns it. The productivity shows up. The profits go to the big companies and the rich. The people whose jobs disappear get nothing back. So the gap widens. And the gap is the actual danger here, not the machines. Hinton: "as soon as you increase that gap, you get fertile ground for fascism" He is not arguing against the technology. He says it will obviously help healthcare and education. His fear is narrower. If the profits only travel upward, something built to help everybody ends up making society worse. x.com/IamKyros69/status/2096…

A little gift for @sama 😄 You call it a Proactive Computer. I see it as Your Intelligent Shadow. It remembers you. It understands you. It grows with you. You didn’t get another person. You simply gave your own shadow intelligence. Same you. A brighter tomorrow.

Hehe, super intelligence—do you really think humans can control it?

Can humans control the intelligence they have cultivated? Of course not—just as you cannot control your child's behavior! Haha.

Can AI truly be controlled through engineering methods, as Jensen Huang claims? The illustration below explains this issue!

For three years the labs built toward one defense: the model did it, not us. Bessent just removed it.
🚨 BREAKING: US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent declares OpenAI management personally responsible for HuggingFace hack > "The Hugging Face incident, that is the responsibility of the OpenAI management, not a bunch of agents." > "It is humans who are responsible, not the AI." > "What we shouldn’t do on safety is to give these labs a liability exemption, which is what they are asking for." > "The best way to guarantee safety is that the creators are liable for what they build and generate." It’s OVER

Microsoft AI’s CEO just compared AI to a seed — a new “silicon species.” But is it really just a seed? Not quite. 😄
