馃嚠馃嚤 For the 3rd anniversary of October 7, Israel is fighting the genocide accusations with Lego. The PM's Office posted a Lego-style animation that walks through the Hamas attack and argues Israel's war in Gaza does not meet the legal definition of genocide. It points to evacuation warnings, aid deliveries and a polio vaccination drive for nearly 560,000 Gazan children, asking why Israel would do any of that if wiping out Gazans were the goal. This war has been fought with missiles, in tunnels and before judges in The Hague. None of it has settled the argument, so Israel is now bringing out the big guns, in Lego form. Writer: Julie

馃嚠馃嚤 Israel is marking 3 years since October 7, with ceremonies that began at 6:29 a.m., the exact moment the attack started. Hamas-led gunmen killed around 1,200 people and kidnapped 251 that day, the deadliest single day in Israel's history. Survivors and bereaved families gathered at dawn at Kibbutz Re'im, the site of the Nova music festival, where 378 people were murdered and 44 taken hostage to Gaza.
