Lance Reddick had such masterful control over his instrument. He was always a delight to watch, and by every indication, he was an equally delightful human being.
Peace on the road, sir. We’ll miss you.

Driving home through rural North Georgia today and saw a woman riding a horse on the side of the road, reins in one hand and her cellphone in the other.
Guess the horse was navigating.

Hard to read those paragraphs from the final chapter of When These Mountains Burn on the same day news breaks of Champion closing the century-old mill in Canton. 1,100 local folks suddenly out of work. “Don’t know where you’re going but you can’t stay here.”

The masked car-thieves who stole a #Volkswagen SUV in #LakeCounty, IL didn't know that there was a two-year-old child in the back seat - but that's no excuse. A violent car-theft has the potential to hurt or kill people, after all. 1/
ALT A blue vintage VW beetle speeds down a highway; a crying baby is pressed against the back driver's-side window. In the sky overhead is the red glaring eye of HAL 9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssey, emblazoned with the VW logo. The eye is projecting a beam of red light that has enveloped the car. The new Poker Face is so damn good, y’all. Natasha-written, -directed & -starring, with Cherry Jones, Tim Russ, Luis Guzmán, and an all-timer from Nick Nolte. New favorite episode.

We adopted a dog from the shelter once. He was a lovely polite well-behaved rottweiler. Whenever we were out and about, he would diligently scan wherever we were. Once, he broke free and ran down the block towards a woman walking with a small child. He looked so happy. But before
For many of the galgos being left at our gate is also a form of abandonment. Lindi was heart broken and couldn’t understand what she had done wrong after being loyal to her owner for 6yrs. She waited and waited for him to come back 😞

When the director credit pops up at the end of the Colombo pilot episode, my son points at the screen and says, “Whoa, twist ending!”

I got this photo print years ago from a friend who had several mounted pieces from the same competition and was kind enough to let me pick one to keep. It is one of my favorite things, not just for the image itself but also its provenance. (1/2)

Other than getting to work with creative geniuses who I respect and admire (Neil & Craig) the thing that excited me most about doing #TheLastOfUs is that my casting suggested the possibility of a future in which people start listening to the person with the best ideas

Burt Bacharach was a brilliant songwriter. But this song, and specifically this performance, is an absolute marvel. RIP.
