After completing a deep data analysis that has consumed most of my evening, I can conclude that XTracker was right today, and I was wrong. X doesn't show threads longer than 3 posts (main + 2 tails) regardless of what they contain, and anything behind the "show more" is out of scope. I'll be making tweaks to my platform to reflect this. You'll see counts on whitehousemeter.live correct sometime tomorrow.
Hey @Polymarket @devjoshstevens. Can we get some clarity on the definition of "main feed" for tweet market events? Recently, @WhiteHouse dropped the 250 photo dump - a 20 post thread. Of those 20, two are visible on their feed while the others are visible when viewing the detail of the first nitter.net/WhiteHouse/status/2101…. The rules say "For the purposes of this market, only main feed posts, quote posts and reposts will count." The rules then go on to say "...replies which are recorded on the main feed will be counted by the tracker." My question is: Do posts X hides for brevity count or not? If not, that's okay, but we need to at least know.
