@SpaceX 🚀 just launched Starship into orbit for the first time.
The massive rocket lifted off from Starbase, Texas, at 8:48 a.m. ET.
The booster splashed down offshore, and the ship, which lost one of its six engines on ascent, is continuing on an orbital path to deploy 26 Starlink V3 satellites.
Starship is key to scaling Starlink, SpaceX’s largest and only profitable business in Q2.
