No one should have to hand over their passport just to be able to pay.
You’ll never have to KYC to buy on Slice.
‼️ BREAKING: Revolut handed over customers’ passport copies, verification selfies and full transaction histories to a malicious actor.
The actor sent lawful government information-demand emails using a genuine government domain that passed domain authentication.
Revolut later concluded they were not authentic.
Affected customers were notified on Friday. What may have been disclosed ranges from name, date of birth and home address to account statements, withdrawal records and complete Bitcoin transaction history.
The company says it has alerted the agency to the unauthorised mailbox on its domain, blocked the address and begun notifying regulators.
It has not named the agency, explained how someone obtained a mailbox there, or given a number of affected customers.
ZachXBT, who circulated the notices, believes the incident was limited in size and aimed at high-net-worth users.

The deaths are greatly exaggerated, but I also think this is directionally correct about the UX endgame.
Wallets aren’t going anywhere anytime soon -- if anything, wallets like @ambire will become more important as adoption and demand for self-custody grow. But there’s clearly a need for a new class of wallets that are app-native, portable, and invisible to the user.
We’re taking a similar path at @slice__so (see below), while making an even bigger bet: that this model can change not just how we use crypto, but how we interact with the rest of the internet.
You might want to keep an eye on what we ship next.
For crypto founders, the biggest lesson from @fomo and @Pumpfun ascendance is that the distribution model of the last 5 years for apps is moot.
Web3 is dead, wallet connect is dead, dApps are dead.
The new plan is vertically integrated mobile: hide the crypto mechanics entirely. Single balance across chains, integrated onramp (Apple Pay is king), no bridges, no seed phrases or private keys (sign in with Google or X).
For wallet apps themselves, this presents an existential crisis. The user demands simplicity & the feeling of safety. In the past, your wallet was a gateway to crypto. Now, I hold a deposit in each app I use and I don't yet care if they talk to each other.
As always, we go through bundling and unbundling cycles. If Phantom and Jupiter and Metamask were bundling, we are now seeing a great unbundling.
