A lot of opportunities I am enjoying today wasn't necessarily because of my technical skill but rather because of how I market myself to those who wants to hire me, The principles of marketing can be applied in any aspect of life and honestly even if you are the best at what you do, if you lack the necessary marketing skills, you will never attain some heights in what you do.

No one needs your degree or NYSC certificate, All what they care about is if you are skilled enough to deliver, I got my first job with a tech company about a month after I graduated from secondary school, your skills is all that matters
