Going back to engineering was one of the best decisions of my life. I spent 7 years in product management. Barely wrote code. This made me sad. I don't know why building is so satisfying. Maybe some evolutionary hack. Never stop building friends.

This was already expressed by Seneca who said that if you are trying to distinguish yourself with your strength, an ox will always be stronger than you. So work on being maximally human.

Disgusting behavior from someone who should know better. Silicon Valley is represented by people like this.

Don’t keyword stuff. This is how to get blacklisted by the indexer.
TLDR; -> Keyword-stuff your first sentence and paragraph for any given query -> Own as much of the top 10-20 search results as possible for any given keyword -> Repeat 🤷‍♂️

I think there's a parallel trend coming in addition to this. One of the only remaining parts of a human in the product lifecycle is choosing what to build. This is what is called "taste". So far, in my experience, LLMs/AI are not great at this. They seem to overfit on whatever you initial conditions are. Maybe it's a skills issue, but I haven't had much luck. Each part of the life cycle is being eaten, and for some reason the tacit belief is we're still going to be involved AT ALL. Instead what I think will likely happen is a 100% automated life cycle of companies being launched, grown and sold completely autonomously. AI finds the trend, builds the product (that other agents use), grows it (whatever growth looks like for agent customers) and sells (to agents?). So one interesting company to build is a meta company. A company completely agnostic of industry. A company that is a machine that builds machines. A company that is fully-self driving.
Software is dead It's now the era of personal software and everyone just builds what they need whenever they need it I think

If you think about what levels does today, it's likely very little (@levelsio please keep me honest) but FWICT it's largely choosing what to build, a few prompts here and there and et voila, a product/service. You'd be naive to think that's not going to change.

1) What
Wow. I applied for Private Cloud Compute access and got approved within 30 minutes. This is going to be very useful for my AI apps. You should apply too if you're offering AI functionality in your apps. Requirements: - You’re enrolled in the App Store Small Business Program - None of your apps has more than 2 million first-time downloads on the App Store

What an incredibly sane thing to say.

Levels is an MVP man. 100% agree. This guy is single handedly fixing half the saas companies in the world.
Airbnb just responded to "reviewgate" The replies here are literally hundreds of people who got their reviews removed directly contradicting what Airbnb says here The "policy" they have seems to be to remove a guest's review and rating whenever a host asks for it I don't get why they don't just fix this? Everyone would love to see Airbnb have honest reviews and ratings you can trust Short term you might get more bookings if everything is a 4.5 or 4.99 but long term people discover it means nothing and they can't trust your platform and they leave elsewhere I think they're in some internal gridlock by MBAs who want to see revenue go up, not realizing that they're destroying a company I hope they fix it!

He’s so close to getting it.
If you had enough resources, you could run an LLM on a wooden system of gears and diesel power. It would be massive, but watching the gears and levers move, it would be evident that the outputs are not the result of a mind. Part of the illusion of LLMs is the tiny scale of GPUs.

If this is pneumonic plague with air borne transmission, it could be really really bad.
🚨☣️BREAKING: Plague outbreak expands, Russia BSL-3 lab accident - FIVE hospitals now quarantined🚨☣️ The plague outbreak in Siberia, Russia has expanded w/5 hospitals now under QUARANTINE: Irkutsk Hospitals No. 1, No.3, No.10, Ivano-Matreninskaya Children's Hospital, and an unnamed maternity hospital (Lyudi Baikala news, Moscow Times). Quarantine is NOT voluntary. Even in the U.S., quarantine is among the most extraordinary measures gov't can impose on American citizens who haven't been convicted, or even accused, of committing a crime. Quarantine means being forcibly confined and medically examined by law. U.S. quarantine can be imposed on anyone infected by a legally quarantinable disease listed below (this can change). One should assume Russia's quarantine protocols are even more severe. As of 2026, under Executive Order 14047, legally quarantinable diseases in the U.S. are: ■ Plague ■ Smallpox ■ Viral hemorrhagic fevers ■ Cholera ■ Diphtheria ■ Yellow fever ■ Infectious tuberculosis ■ Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) ■ Flu that can cause a pandemic ■ Measles Photo: Russia’s RKhBZ defense troops perform nuclear, biological, and chemical defense training (w/permission from the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation) — from BIOLOGICAL WAR: A SCENARIO by Annie Jacobsen (Dutton, 2026).

There’s unwarranted hate for people who choose not to have children. The common replies are: - they will die alone - they will miss out on happiness of kids - they will live a life of superficiality - more egocentric things These are all replies of people who think having kids is for you. Kids are a burden. There is no doubt about it. Life is easier without them. And for a lot of people they would like be happier without kids (all the way through to death). But you don’t have kids for you. You have kids for them. Kids are a not an investment. But that to me is the definition of love, in the face of irrationality, you choose someone else over you.
40 year old woman brags about rather raving than having children.
