What most people miss about the $VAR tokenomics (and why it's not that great) 32% airdrop? That sounds great, but it comes with a problem Who is left to buy? Everyone has points, or an investment made already + team has a big bag Sure, sounds like a good recipe for TGE for those who farmed/invested, but is it that good for long term? Time will tell And I don't think it's the case to compare with Hyperliquid, tokenomics are different The tokens that will do well are those that you give people no choice but to want to hold it/buy it @variational_io team can still do that, but it's not yet presented in the tokenomics This for sure will be a huge drop, I'm just curious how the project will look after TGE

I like @variational_io as a product. What I don't get is why everyone's so bullish on the tokenomics. 32% to the community is a good number. But only 18% is left for future seasons, grants and other community initiatives. Investors and the team hold big allocations. Anyone who wanted VAR exposure already has it, through an investor allocation or through points. So who's buying on the open market? I also don't see the revenue for meaningful buybacks. The real test is what happens once people stop expecting another airdrop. Do they keep using @variational_io? We'll see. Sincerely hope everyone cooks.

The @jumperapp thesis is one of the most exciting stories coming up If you think about it, we never really had everything in 1 app before We all used their first iteration of swapping and bridging because it was genuinely good Would be dope if it's the same for perps and RWAs They already said it will be launched with incentives So maybe...TGE → $JUMP incentives for perps users? I can see a good use case for their token to govern all the products they built With $40B+ in volume and 100,000+ monthly active users, they have the strings to pull a good TGE What do you think will happen first?

The $DRV pump was just the beginning of a new meta Give me 1 min and I will tell you why Over the last few years we've dozens of perp dexs popping out and this naturally creates saturation and dilution CT soon realizes that no big innovation comes from a new perp dex, besides the "opportunity" to farm it That's when the meta slowly decelerates and dies If you've been farming or using perps, you know that's the case already So the early ones are pivoting to something new, or at least try to get new edges or throw some darts to what they believe is the next thing to run We will have Hyperliquid, Lighter, Variational, Arcus, QFEX, Ondo perps, Nado etc...all doing pretty much the same thing But on Options?
