Simple rule when using AI to make a game: how long does it take to actually ship it ? You can ship today or spend extra 6 months working on it (short for a game). My guess is that 6 months dev quality beats 3 days dev quality even today.
I keep reflecting about the economics of this.
Everyone can make their dream games now? Ok. Then what?
For offline games: in most genres, playing one you made yourself isn't so fun because you're, by definition, spoiled.
For online games: if everyone can build it, getting people to play it (which was always the hardest part) will be even harder. So, which game will people play, and why?
For one, building my dream MOBA right now should take a week (in Bend so there are no bugs 😃). But if people are stubborn on League of Legends, what good is that for?
Hmm...
