As we approach Thanksgiving, I urge everyone to take a moment & remember our Soldiers near & far who may not have the opportunity to spend the holidays with their families. We are thankful for all they do to protect our country. #HappyThanksgiving
I made sure to thank @USArmy Soldiers with @111thENBDE at Camp Buehring in Kuwait for leading over 650 projects, not the least of which, building a camp to house 5000+ Afghan refugees. If I learned one thing as an Army commander, it was to always keep a good engineer close by.
I spent my morning video chatting with U.S. service members around the world to hear about their work and wish them a Happy #Thanksgiving. We face many challenges, but we can overcome them thanks to brave patriots like these women and men who answered the call to serve...

We have a lot to be #thankful for this year. Although #deployed and away from our families, the impact we have been able to make in the Middle East is something all of our Soldiers are grateful for.
From our 111th family to yours, we wish you a happy and healthy

Yesterday, Col. Kincaid, commander of the 111th, was recognized as the guest speaker during the Camp Buehring Veterans Day celebration.
Following the ceremony, Kincaid was joined by the youngest Soldier and the oldest veteran in the Dining Facility for a ceremonial cake cutting.
Every Soldier joins the military for different reasons. For some Soldiers, they join because of Veterans who taught them what it means to serve.
Today, we owe our gratitude to those who laid the foundation for us.
To all of our Veterans, both past and present, we salute you.
