The console’s optical disc format, distinctive controller and first party lineup (especially Super Smash Bros. Melee) helped it retain a dedicated following that commenters still call a hood classic.
This is a great time for gaming.
Sony came out with the PS2 not too long ago, and Microsoft's new gaming system is coming out in a couple months.
The design looks a little clunky, but if they continue on with console development and improve on that aspect with their next system (which will undoubtedly be called the Xbox 2 as that makes the most sense), Microsoft could be a major player for generations to come.
It’s shit, go buy a ps2 folks. It doesn’t even play DVDS which is a surely lucrative thing right now. There’s not even any GTA, I bet Nintendo regrets that, and its a shitty kiddy system and Nintendo should just go third party like sega might.
