Market finally waking up to the deal $LB buried in their filings?
Some interesting gems in yesterday's filing from $LB. $LB bought 24,000 acres for $261M at a 9.7x current EBITDA multiple. By comparison, the 1918 Ranch was bought at 12.5x trailing but 3.3x pro forma for the incremental pore space. Will be interesting to see forward EBITDA potential of the new land.

It's week 10 of the $GFL buyout watch. Updates: NDRs in Europe and Boston. Gransch elevated to COO. @ctfn_news article saying two consortia bid and there's strategic interest for parts. $50 - $55 range still in play, with bids seemingly needing to be at top end. Special Committee seems like the wild card.
So, is tomorrow merger Monday with an announcement that $apo is buying $gfl?

1/x It is crazy that the adj. EBITDA metric that determines $TPL management's incentive comp does not exclude the interest TPL is paid on its cash ($18M in '25) and excludes the expense on said incentive comp.

2/x What is crazier is that when called out on this years ago by shareholders, instead of saying "we missed it while interest rates were zero" and then fixing it, the response was the comp committee factors interest income into the EBITDA targets. So, a committee of a retired general, former consultant, and two energy guys are forecasting interest rates??
