So let me help the professional communications guy with some facts. Gwen Graham was Assistant Secretary for Legislation and Congressional Affairs at the Department of Education. Her job was working with Congress. As a former member of Congress, imagine that. She wasn’t Secretary of Education. She didn’t run the Office for Civil Rights. And she didn’t personally write America’s bathroom rules. And demanding accountability from private schools taking taxpayer dollars is not “killing school choice.” You want private? Fine. Pay for it privately. Once you take public money, the public gets to demand accountability. I know Byron has made lying a central feature of this campaign, but apparently it’s contagious. Gates, you work in communications. Facts are supposed to be part of the job description. Try communicating some.
