DeSantis just needs to admit Alligator Alcatraz was a mistake and move on. Trump said illegals are fine if they work in the leisure and agricultural industries. Everyone makes mistakes. Only about 25,000 Florida illegal aliens were deported while the entire project cost $1.4 billion. Trump promised to reimburse Florida for about $600,000, then reneged (as usual). Why DeSantis refuses to publicly demand Trump reimburse Florida is a mystery.
