This would be in every school across Minnesota if the DFL wouldn’t have purposely prevented its passage.
The SHIELD Act will save lives, and it’s time politicians stop playing games with the safety of students.
Yesterday in Lakeville, MN, Lakeville South H.S. and Lakeville North H.S. both received threats through their anonymous reporting system. Both of these schools have #3DResponse installed. Here is the timeline as I have it right now. Please pay close attention to the times.
Lakeville South H.S.
9:10am Received anonymous threat of presence of Firearms & Explosives inside the Building.
9:10 3D Response System was activated, Law Enforcement was enroute and on scene within 4 minutes.
Within 45 seconds of the activation of 3D Response, the school went from a Target Rich environment to a Target LESS environment and classroom doors were locked and students and staff were behind ballistic protection and had cover and concealment until Law Enforcement arrived and cleared the building of any immediate threats.
Lakeville North H.S.
12:15 Received an Active Shooter Threat and Weapons on Campus.
12:15 3D Response activated and within 45 seconds, all students and staff were in their rooms behind ballistic rated material and provided Cover and Concealment.
According to School Administrators, Teachers, Students and Law Enforcement Officers, 3D Response worked as designed and flawlessly. Kudo's were given to the system and Jason for making sure the students and staff were safe during these incidents.
I want to point out that without 3D Response, these schools would have had no protection against any of these threats. A.I. Weapon Detection and Metal Detectors would not have played a part in these type incidents. Knowing everyone was safe and protected against these type threats made all the difference. Without going into the specific testing of our system, explosives and gunfire would have met it's match with out components and materials. Every post I have seen on Facebook about these two incidents are filled with praises to 3D Response and they all say that this should be in every school in every state. This video is a few years old, today both high schools used this system during an active shooter threat. Each school, with over 2,200 people, was secured in under a minute. The buildings quickly went from target-rich to target-less, with everyone inside save. Police arrived quickly and secured.
