Federal authorities say they foiled an alleged ISIS-inspired mass-shooting plot at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota. No attack occurred and no one was hurt.
🚨🚨🚨
On Oct. 6, 2026, the FBI arrested 18-year-old Sheikhdoon Abdullahi Mohamud in a Richfield park after he paid $600 to an undercover agent he believed was an ISIS member for an AK-47-style rifle, four magazines, and about 200 rounds. He is charged with receiving a firearm and ammunition knowing they would be used in a felony or federal terrorism crime.

Prosecutors say he planned to attack the mall on Oct. 24 during a Hmong Arts Celebration and told a confidential source he wanted to kill non-Muslims, speaking of 30–60 deaths. Alleged motives included ISIS support and a belief the mall was Jewish-owned.

The FBI says the investigation began around December 2024. These are allegations; he has not been convicted.
