Zero. It 2 things: a professional soldier thing and a defense industry thing. The primary is a professional development conference to allow for faces:names and sharing problems. I don’t know but it seems useful for /1

Firefighters are responding to a new wildfire near Three Fingered Jack in the Mount Jefferson Wilderness. Currently listed at 20 acres. No closures or evacs at present, but would avoid the area for now. More details: tinyurl.com/28wyppa4

Imagine being the Lieutenant Governor of Arkansas and having “Grass on the field… play ball!” preserved in email archives for future generations.
The Benedictine monks at Subiaco Abbey hand-make peanut brittle and Monk Sauce. The brittle is cooked one skillet at a time with a heavy hand of peanuts, and the sauce is hot enough to keep people ordering from all over. Proceeds help support the abbey and the academy! #250ReasonsAR #Arkansas250 #America250 🇺🇸

So let me get this straight: Russia gives Iran intelligence to help target and kill U.S. soldiers. As a result, we help Russia kill Ukrainians who are fighting for their survival against those same Russians. Did I miss anything?
“Elon Musk approached Donald Trump with the idea of slowing down Starlink in Ukraine, The Telegraph can reveal. The billionaire tech entrepreneur approached the US president with the proposal to introduce speed limits on the system, which hampered Ukraine’s drone defences, according to four sources familiar with the discussions. One of the sources said Mr Trump “agreed” with Mr Musk’s suggestion, paving the way for the Pentagon to execute the slowdown on Starshield, the military-grade version of the satellite communications system.

Not only is it extremely unlikely to go into production as demonstrated, you have to assume that the folks at DECCS were foaming at the mouth. Imagine the background check for purchasing one. Sure, in 10-15 years it may be exportable tech but now?
Guess who also already regulates car… Btw, just driving that car over the Mexican border it’s technically a federal felony.

Anybody interested in littoral resupply is going to be grasping for the available airframes.
MQ-72C Cargo Helicopter Drone Capabilities Demonstrated For U.S. Army. The Marines have been the primary interested party in the MQ-72C, but the Army already flies the UH-72 Lakota and needs similar capabilities. twz.com/air/mq-72c-cargo-hel…

Visited the house again last night. The Rescue guys do so much across a large field of competency: it’s very impressive. It also shows the power of enabled small teams to accomplish extraordinary things.

We absolutely cannot have races in Qatar or Abu Dhabi this year. There’s just no way to safely do so, and I genuinely think there will be some drivers who make a public negative statement about the idea if this change isn’t announced. And they’d be right to do so, for their own sake and the sake of their teams. There’s nothing to decide on the sporting side, the championships are over already, it’s just economic pressures overriding common sense safety precaution. Finish the season in the snow at Imola, and call it a year. I don’t think there are too many that want to see these power units keep running on track, anyways. 🤷🏻‍♂️

We shouldn't be stockpiling anything yet. Most of the systems are just too green and our operators most certainly are. We need to train and test everything to exhaustion until we are confident the tech can retain relevance in storage.

It is shocking to this non prior service dude after 25 years around war to see actual artillery every single time. This thing is so damn big.
Meet America’s Artillery: XM1776. That’s the @USArmy's new designation for our K9 Mobile Howitzer. New name. Proven foundation. With the XM1776, the future fight is sure to be an unfair one. ow.ly/QvIJ50ZX877

Holy shit. Having spent quality time with State folks this is just pure gold.
This is, unreservedly, my favorite account of an ambassador behaving badly, from a diplomatic oral history site. I read this years ago and cannot forget it, and you won’t either. (If they made this a movie, it’d be R rated.) adst.org/2015/06/this-woman-…

It’s not just the government that covered up Russian interference in Brexit. The press also played its part. This is one of the only times I was ever interviewed on the subject… by US media.
Here it is. This is the clip from yesterday's @CNN interview where I'm asked - for first time ever - about Brexit-Trump-Russia. "These vital questions of national security have been interpreted as about politics. And it's not about politics. It's about power. And about Putin."
