php.net is almost like a historic monument of the internet. Leave the original design alone, let it be old and outdated, regardless of how good the new submissions are. You can have contests for things like posters, stickers, poetry and other fandom pageantry.
Last year my design won the PHP Foundation contest for the PHP 8.5 release page.
This year I went further, a full redesign proposal for the php.net homepage and docs, built around PHP 8.6. Just for the love of PHP, and for fun.

I'm getting tired of them only adding a few emojis a year, it's kinda boring. I wish at least one of them could be like a gorilla, like maybe a really smart one. Maybe one from the moon, with, I don’t know, a tesla cannon or something. Would be cool.

it is legitimately impossible to write a 100% foolproof algorithm that can detect if a language is serbian (latin), croatian, bosnian or montenegrin because unless the text contains words like kruh or sirnica or "sjutra" that is only used in one of them theyre all the exact same
